Does Concord pet hire felons?

Company Name

Concord Pet Foods and Supplies

Pet food and supplies

Newark, Delaware

Company Overview

Concord Pet started in 1978 out of a trailer at Larry’s Mobile. Originally the Mutschler Family was looking for a way to feed the family horses. In 1981 Larry Mutschler opened his first retail location on Concord Pike in Wilmington, Delaware. There was only one employee in a 1,000sq ft. building. This building still exists today as storage for the Concord Pike location. Originally Larry had two partners – his brother and a good friend. The company grew to 9 locations by 1998.

Today Larry solely owns the company and has grown to 27 locations from Malvern, PA to Seaford, DE. He was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware just like Concord Pet. For over 30 years the company has been locally owned and operated and we at Concord Pet know what that means to our customers.

At Concord Pet we feel the need to help our customers as if they are family. We strive to be the best in the area, from carrying bags to hiring a knowledgeable staff. Please feel free to stop in at Concord Pet, where you and your pet will be part of our family!

Who Makes Hiring Decisions

Hiring decisions are made by the hiring managers with input from the corporate Human Resources team.

The Best Way To Secure A Position

Applying at your local Concord Pet location and convincing the management or local ownership to hire you is your best bet to secure a position. It is typically much easier to convince a local manager to give you a chance than a corporate human resources representative.

Applying in person and explaining your conviction face-to-face generally is much better than simply filling out an application.

If you can get a referral from another employee at that location you will also be helping yourself out tremendously.
