Policy For Hiring Those With Felony Convictions

We received the following response after contacting them regarding their hiring policies for those with felony convictions:

“You can also apply in person at the Denny’s location of your choice. Ask to speak to the General Manager who can provide you with information regarding current or future job openings. Please speak with the General Manager for details in regards to employment opportunity availability and the requirements of the positions available.

Also if you are interested in applying for a newly developing Denny’s location that has not yet been constructed, information in regards to how to apply may be posted on the site closer to the opening date. You will need to fill out an application on site or speak with a representative for details.

Have They Hired Former Felons?

While Denny’s would not confirm that they have previously hired felons we have had reports from other sources that they have previously hired those with felony convictions.

Specific Program For Hiring Former Felons

They do not have a specific program for the hiring of those with felony convictions.

Who Makes Hiring Decisions

Many Denny’s locations are locally owned franchises. That means that the hiring decisions are made primarily by the local managers and owners following guidelines from the corporate headquarters.

The Best Way To Secure A Position

Applying at your local Denny’s and convincing the management to hire you is your best bet to secure a position.

Applying in person and explaining your conviction face-to-face generally is much better than simply filling out an application.

If you can get a referral from another employee at that location you will also be helping yourself out tremendously.

Amazing blog! Do you have any helpful hints for aspiring writers?

I’m planning to start my own blog soon but I’m a little lost on everything.
Would you propose starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid
option? There are so many options out there that I’m totally overwhelmed ..
    Any suggestions? Bless you!
