Once again, we can only go off what we have seen online. Some people say that you can get a job at Aramark with a felony, which is encouraging. Unfortunately, some others say you can’t, so it might be a little complicated.

Of course, former felons aren’t the only people who have a hard time finding work. It can be equally hard to get a job with a misdemeanor. So, does Aramark hire people with misdemeanors?
Assuming that they have hired felons in the past, it’s likely that they will also hire people with misdemeanors.
Is Aramark on the Ban the Box list?
The Ban the Box movement is a program designed to remove questions about an applicant’s criminal record from the job application.
There is also the Fair Chance Business Pledge — an optional promise businesses make that says they will treat people with criminal records fairly in the hiring process.
Both are great programs, but unfortunately Aramark isn’t actively participating in either. While this may sound a bit discouraging, it doesn’t mean that you won’t be able to get a job at Aramark with a felony.

As you can see, we don’t have much official information on Aramark’s hiring policies. And the information that we have uncovered is somewhat contradictory.
So, does Aramark hire felons? Right now, we can only say that your chances are uncertain. The fact that some say they have gotten work at Aramark with a felony should provide you with hope, but until we have more info we can’t upgrade the odds.
What are some entry-level jobs?
Aramark is a big company and, as such, they have a good range of positions. On the food services end of the spectrum, they offer work as chefs or kitchen assistants. As always, it all starts with submitting a good application. This basic but crucial part of the process will determine whether or not they give you serious consideration. Because of how important this matter is, you’ll want to spend plenty of time on your resume.
It can help to have someone look over it with you. This is a good idea for anyone, really — it’s often easier for someone else to point out your skills. A friend or someone at a career center can help make sure that your resume pops.
To do that, emphasize the experience you have that qualifies you for the position. For example, if you are applying for a sales job, list anything you can think of that has something to do with customer service. If you have experience with food, mention it on an application to their food service jobs.
You can even list relevant experience from work you did while incarcerated — it’s beneficial to put a positive spin on your background!
Once you nail the application, they will (fingers crossed) call you in for the interview. This means that they like what you are about, but they want to confirm that you are a good fit for them.
As with any applicant, you will be expected to show up looking professional. This means wearing nice work-appropriate clothes, and covering tattoos when possible.
You will also want to try to work out the pre-interview jitters. To maximize your chances of getting hired, you should try to come off as naturally as possible. If you have a relaxation ritual (music, tea, a long drive, so on and so forth), do it! Whatever it takes. Show up calm and comfortable, and you will improve your chances considerably.

We also looked into what it’s like to work at Aramark. To accomplish this, we went to glassdoor.com to see their company ratings.
We found that they have an overall rating of 3 out of 5 stars. Their lowest rating was a 2.5 for senior management. The highest was a 3 for work/life balance.
What felony convictions might have a hard time getting hired here?
It’s hard to say which felonies might have a hard time getting hired at Aramark because they have a wide range of jobs. That said, if you are applying for a customer service position, a violent or sexual offense will probably hurt your chances.
