“CTG complies with applicable local, state, and federal laws concerning equal opportunity for job seekers. We are an IT solutions and services company, and the majority of our employees are working on projects for our customers.

Most of CTG’s clients do require a completed background check, but each client has different background check criteria. Therefore, job offers for these positions are contingent on successful completion of a background investigation. Hiring is not completed until a background check report is complete. All background check decisions are made based on the client’s and CTG’s requirements.”

We know that might be a confusing answer. That’s because CTG only hires people their clients need.

For example, CTG may have a healthcare system as a client. If that healthcare system needs someone to test its new software, it will let CTG know. CTG will then hire someone to do the work for the healthcare system, but the person they hire needs to pass the background check required by the healthcare system.

Have they hired felons in the past?

Computer Task Group did not comment directly about whether or not they have previously hired felons. We have spoken to a former felon who was hired by CTG for a major technology company.

The former felon did end up getting hired after answering all conviction-related questions honestly, though they were later released once the client (not CTG) found out about their felony conviction.

So, CTG will hire former felons, but their clients decide whether or not you stay on.

Does CTG hire people with misdemeanors?

CTG did not mention hiring those with misdemeanors, though we are sure they will since they have hired felons to perform work. Again, this will be up to CTG’s clients.
