Their goal is to make it easier for felons to have a fair chance at employment that is based on skills, not on criminal records.
However, you should know that Crown Holdings does not ask about any criminal history on their application.
Does Crown Holdings have programs for hiring felons?
Crown Holdings, unfortunately, is not a company that offers programs for felons.
The good news is there are many programs and agencies that help former felons. Some of these programs provide money for work clothes or tools, give you substance abuse support and they’ll even assist you in starting your own business.
An example is Vocational Rehabilitation. They offer several different types of assistance, so make sure you check them out.
What are the odds someone with a felony will get hired?
The odds of a former felon getting hired at Crown Holdings are low, based on what we were told from Crown Holdings. However, it may be possible for a qualified former felon to get hired, depending on the job selected.

What are some entry-level jobs?
Crown Holdings has many job possibilities due to their many locations and different plants. The duties and requirements will depend on the job picked.
Here are a few jobs with minimum requirements:
- General Labor/Janitor — This job involves housekeeping inside and outside of the plant.
- Utility/General Cleaning — This position requires general cleaning duties and stocking supplies.
- Entry Operator — This role requires experience using hand tools and being able to operate a forklift.

- Application — It’s best to have your resume handy before you begin your application. Crown Holdings does request that you submit your resume with your application. Take your time and answer all questions. Here is what they say about their application:

- Interview — There are two steps to Crown Holdings interview process. The first interview is done by phone. Make sure the time you schedule will be free from any interruptions. Make sure you speak clearly and aren’t mumbling. The second interview will be set up so there can be a face-to-face encounter. This is where you will be asked to complete an employment application and complete a background release.
This is also where they will contact your personal references. So make sure you have some solid references, not just your bestie. Good references can be a mentor, pastor, employer or even a parole officer.
Once you are selected, you will be contacted to come in for drug screening and physical. These two things are a must in order for you to be hired.
Does Crown Holdings do background checks?
Yes. You can expect a background check and a drug screen to be performed. Crown Holdings does state that the background check and physical are done pre-employment.

After looking on Indeed and Glassdoor, we learned that Crown Holdings has an average rating. On glassdoor.com, their rating was of 3.6 out of 5 stars, while indeed.com rated them with 3.5 out of 5 stars.
Crown Holdings was rated high for their pay and providing health insurance for all their employees. However, many people complained about management and the lack of structure in their shifts.
What felony convictions might have a hard time getting hired here?
There are some convictions that may have a difficult time getting hired at Crown Holdings.
